Wine-Searcher Affiliate Scheme

Wine-Searcher does advertise in a number of places both on and off the Internet. We particularly like to support websites that provide wine tasting notes and reviews, and to this end, we have an affiliate program available for wine related sites.

To be considered for Wine-Searcher affiliate scheme, your website must have at least 70,000 page views per month.

If you run a site that includes information about individual wines, and if you wish to offer your visitors the option to search for retailers stocking those wines, please contact us about becoming an affiliate.

You can link to Wine-Searcher from your own website in a number of different ways, including;

• directly to specific wines,
• to lists of vintages for specific wineries,
• to our home page,
• to our regions pages.

In order for the referral to be logged against you as an affiliate you must end each URL with "?referring_site=XXX", where "XXX" is a three character codes unique to you. We will tell you what the code will be. An example of an affiliate link is the following URL (a search for any vintage of Graham's Port);
http://www.wine-searcher.com/find/grahams+port?referring_site=XXX.

Basis of Payment and Rate

Payments are made to Affiliates per unique referral to the Wine-Searcher site per day. If a single user clicks from your site through to Wine-Searcher many times within a single day, only one payment is generated, if that same user clicks through the next day, another payment is generated. The rate per unique referral per day is $0.03 USD (3¢)

Reporting

Each month, on the first of each month, each affiliate receives an emailed report which summarizes the click-throughs for the previous month as well as the total amount earned. This report is the basis on which Wine-Searcher pays Affiliates. An example of this month end report is:

Payment Methods

We can pay Affiliates by either PayPal, via credit cards, or directly to bank accounts (the affiliate is responsible for bank charges). The payment method is agreed with Wine-Searcher in advance, and payments are only made in USD.

Minimum Payment Amount

Wine-Searcher operates a minimum payment amount per month of $50 (USD). Any amount under this value will be carried forward until the next month.

Conditions of the Scheme

By using an Affiliate URL (ie a URL with a "referring_site" code) you agree to the conditions above and, in addition, should note the following points:

• Wine-Searcher monitors Affiliates for "click fraud". If we suspect that this may have taken place we reserve the right to terminate the Affiliate agreement with immediate effect.
• Wine-Searcher reserves the right to terminate any Affiliate agreement with one month's notice sent to the Affiliate by email.
