Welschriesling is a white grape variety which is completely unrelated to the German Riesling. It is grown across Europe and in China, but most especially in Austria. It is also known as Grassica (Croatia), Riesler (Austria), Wälschriesling, Grasevina (Croatia), Welschrizling (Bulgaria) and Riesling Italico (Northern Italy).
A late ripening vine whose grapes keep their acidity well and produce light-bodied, aromatic wines.
