Notes: | Palomino is a white grape variety which is most closely associated with Sherry production in Jerez. In Spain, the grape is split into the sub-varieties Palomino Fino, Palomino Basto, and Palomino de Jerez. Outside of Spain, the country with the most plantings of this vine is South Africa. It is also known as White French (South Africa), Fransdruif (South Africa), Frans (South Africa) and Listán de Jerez. It is identical to the Listan variety, grown in France. | |||
