Sponsorship is a premium listing which promotes your products in our search results, increases your online profile and ultimately drives more traffic to your website. With more than one million users per month, Wine-Searcher can help you sell your wine online.
How It Works
Premium Listing: Our free-for-use searches show results from our sponsor merchants only (unless none of them stock the searched-for wine). As 97% of Wine-Searcher visitors use the free-for-use service, the advantages of sponsorship are obvious: greater visibility of your listing and a significant increase in referrals to your website. Sponsors also enjoy additional highlighting in Pro Version search results and priority listing in Find a Store searches.
Banner Advertisement: All sponsors are given the opportunity to additionally promote their business on Wine-Searcher using a free banner advertisement. During the sponsorship term this image will be displayed on the merchant's profile page, as well as throughout a variety of search-result and information pages. These are targeted to visitors most likely to be of value to your business, according to user location or locations selected during searches.
Getting Started
All initial sponsorship terms are based on the number of wines you have listed on Wine-Searcher:

Subsequent terms are priced according to the performance of your sponsorship to date. We try to maintain an average value of $0.22 USD per point of contact. A point of contact is a 'referral', a 'visit' to your Wine-Searcher profile page or an email sent to you via our site.
*Merchants who pay on a monthly basis are eligible to have their rates revised only once they have completed a full 6 consecutive months of uninterrupted sponsorship.
To apply: To sign up and become a sponsor merchant on Wine-Searcher we'll need your payment details. You can fax credit card details using the appropriate form as linked below. Alternatively you can contact us to arrange a payment by check, bank transfer or PayPal.

Your banner: Once we have your payment details we will request a banner advertisement graphic. This must be 468x60 pixels in a .jpg or .gif format no larger than 45KB. Animated .gifs are permitted, but multi-media formats such as Shockwave are not. Here are some examples. If you do not have a banner we can prepare a simple one for you on request.

Continuing as a Sponsor
Four weeks before your current sponsorship term is due to expire we will inform you by email. The email will also include the appropriate pricing for the renewal of your Wine-Searcher sponsorship. The stated prices will be valid for the term selected when renewing, or for up to 12 months. All pricing is subject to a base rate of $110 USD per month (or equivalent) plus $0.22 USD per point of contact.
NB: Quotes for sponsors continuing on a monthly basis are valid for 12 months. For these monthly sponsorships, pricing reviews will be communicated one month before the new pricing takes effect.
