Due to its geography and extreme climate, the Canada wine industry is mostly based on winter-resistant varieties like Vidal Blanc, Seyval Blanc, Baco Noir and Concord. Some international Vinifera varieties like Riesling, Chardonnay and Viognier also show promise.

One style of wine that has brought maximum repute to the Canada wine industry is the Icewine . There are four main provinces namely, Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
