Seyssel, an appellation of Savoie, produces light, dry white still and sparkling wines. Wines from this appellation, notably those of the producers Varichon et Clerc, are some of the few to be exported. Chasselas is the dominant grape variety, although the local Molette is also grown for sparkling wines.
