Swiss Wine - page 3

See the Swiss Wine Stores we list. Page 3 of 80.

Switzerland is emerging as a quality wine producer thanks to the adoption of the appellation contrôlée system and a constant effort to modernise its industry.

The country is divided into many cantons or small administrative areas and the wine laws are applied to each canton individually. Some of the well known Swiss wine regions are Valais, Vaud, Geneva and Neuchâtel. Chasselas is the most important grape variety accounting for almost sixty percent of the production.
