Wines from Anjou-Saumur

Anjou-Saumur is the heartland of the Loire. The vineyards to the west adjoin those of the Muscadet. Of the sub-regions of the Loire valley this is the most productive with red, white and rose wines being produced in almost equal proportion. The majority of the best wines come from vineyards south of the river.
