Some of the greatest wines of Alsace come not from the Grand Cru vineyards but vineyards entitled to be called 'Clos' (meaning 'walled'). The Clos Gaensbroennet, located near Barrm, is renowned for its Gewurtztraminer and is owned by Willm.
