Wines from Coquimbito

Coquimbito in the Maipu department of Mendoza grows mainly pink-skinned grapes; notably, Criolla Grande, which accounts for over half of plantings and is used for inexpensive wines and grape concentrates. Of the remainder, red wine grapes account for around half and are mainly Malbec with the white wine grapes being predominantly Chardonnay.
