Bourg is a small town in the Bordeaux region on the right bank of the River Dordogne. The town is surrounded by the Cotes de Bourg appellation. Almost all wine produced is red, based on Merlot grapes, and designed to be drunk within 4-6 years. A small quantity of dry white wine is also produced from Ugni Blanc and Colombard grapes.
