Graves-de-Vayres, a small Bordeaux district, is named after Vayres (which isn't in Graves but just across the River Dordogne from Libourne). The appellation produces mainly light red wines from Merlot grapes, although many of them are sold under Bordeaux AC. White wines, both sweet and dry, were once important but now make up a small proportion of production.
