The Las Piedras region of Uruguay produces wines from a number of different international varieties, including Pinot Blanc (which may actually be Chenin), Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Vidiella, a form of Folle Noire, is a speciality.
