Macedonia has some good, modern vineyards - 80% of which are planted with red grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well as indigenous grape varieties of Vranac and Kratosija. White grapes are mainly Smederevra and Welschriesling, with some Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
