About 600 acres in the McMinnville AVA are planted in grapes. In order to use the appellation on its label, 85 percent of the grapes a winery uses to make the wine must come from within the AVA. The appellation applies to land on the east and southeast slopes of the foothills that lie between the 200-foot and 1,000-foot elevation levels. |
