Wines from Morgon

Morgon, around the commune of Villie-Morgon, has around 2800 acres of land under vine. The wines produced are considerably denser and long-lived than most Cru Beaujolais. Some consider that the wines made on the slope known as Cote de Py, just south of Villie-Morgon, are the most superior.
