|
|
Pauillac, a communal appellation in the Medoc district, has three of the five first growths ranked in Bordeaux's famous classification (Ch. Lafite, Ch. Latour and Ch. Mouton-Rothschild). A high proportion of the Medoc's most concentrated wines are produced here from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. As elsewhere in the Medoc, it is the layers of gravel offering good drainage which are the key to the wine quality. |
