Wines from Sauternes

Sauterne produces some of the finest sweet wines in the world from a combination of Semillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle grapes. Yields are low and production costs are high. By law the must has to attain 12.5% alcohol, if not the wine is bottled as AC Bordeaux.
