Vins d l'Orleanais are VDQs wines produced around the city of Orleans. Pale and fragrant reds and rose wines are made from Meunier grapes (here called Gris Meunier) and, sometimes, Cabernet or Pinot Noir. Light white wines, which are very much in the minority, are made from Chardonnay and Pinot Gris (here called Auvernat Blanc and Gris respectively).
