Muscat and Viognier are two aromatic grape varieties that are sometimes blended together in the south of France. Muscat may refer to any member of the Muscat family, though in this case it is usually Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, or occasionally Muscat of Alexandria. Viognier is the famous white grape of the Rhone valley, prized for its apricot and stonefruit flavors.
