Carignan – Grenache – Syrah is a popular blend of three dark-skinned grape varieties used extensively in Southern France and north-eastern Spain. The blend is differentiated from the Chateauneuf-du-Pape blend by the inclusion of Carignan, which is not one of the permitted grape varieties of that appellation.
Cotes du Rhone Villages Signargues is an appellation for the rich, full-blooded red wines from the parishes of Domazan, Estezargues, Rochefort-du-Gard and Saze in the far south of the Rhone wine region in France. The vineyards that are permitted to claim the Cotes du Rhone Villages Signargues title are located only 30 miles (50km) from the Mediterranean coast, in a relatively flat area 15 miles (25km) to the south of the town of Orange.
