The API is free (up to 5,000 queries per day) for sites satisfying both of the conditions below.
1. Powered by Wine-SearcherWherever Wine-Searcher API data is used, a 'Powered by Wine-Searcher' attribution must be displayed. This may be as text 'Powered by Wine-Searcher' with a linked URL to www.wine-searcher.com, or as one of the two hyperlinked 'Powered by Wine-Searcher' logos below. The logos are 32px (height) X 200px (width). Below each is the HTML code required to embed it into a web page.

2. Helpfulness to the Wine CommunityWe designed the Wine-Searcher API as a helpful tool for the world wine community. Websites using it to provide a useful service to the general public (or subscribers to a wine-related web service) may use it for free. The 'useful' information the API can provide about a wine are its price (average, max & min), its region and grape variety, and which vintages are available online. Another helpful way to use the API is to provide links directly to merchant websites selling the wine.
An example of the Wine-Searcher API put to good (free) use can be seen on the competition result pages of the International Wine Challenge.
