Tasted: Jan 2020
This old-school malbec has aromas of tobacco instead of red cherries or violets, and it’s spicy rather than fruity. And the texture is very smooth, from grapes that are ripe, but not excessively so—just enough to make this a very friendly wine. This malbec comes from the La Perseverancia Vineyard, a 2.4-hectare block planted in 1953.

Tasted: Feb 2019
A malbec that smells more like a pinot made with little sulfur. Dried blackberry pie meets intense citrus and cidery apples. Shows some form and structure, but certainly an oddball. A little tart on the finish. Drink now.
