Critic tasting note: (2015 vintage) "This classic Haut-Medoc boasts mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with a perfect balance of power and finesse. The blackcurrant, black cherries, baking spices, and herbaceousness notes play off each other in waves, leading to a long, lifted finish with a desirable hint of glossy oak flavors. The acidity is just right, letting the fruit and tannin come to the forefront. The winery, Château Aney, was sold to Clément Fayat, and its production is now used to "flesh out" Fayat’s second wine. So drink this while you can! For the sake of completeness, the blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 7% Cab Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. (Miranda Franco)" - Wine Review Online

« Clear garnet with bricking. Racy nose combining blackcurrant, plum, toast and a touch of mocha. Medium freshness on the palate. Now at its peak and offering up a lovely distinctive, intense array of flavours. Still lively and showing respect for tradition. »

The 65% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend has produced a wine that is tight with as much acidity as fruit. It does have a juicy edge that is attractive although overall the wine seems thin and dry.

Tasted: Jan 2016
A high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon has given this wine a structured character. It's also brought out black-currant flavors that are allied to juicy acidity. The wood-aging was almost too much, giving the wine a bitter edge that needs to soften. Drink from 2018.

Beautiful deep colour. Heady nose of stone fruits and cherries in brandy. Very supple attack with fruit presence and mellow tannins. The finish is firmer yet stays harmonious and enhanced by savoury freshness.

This is a simple, fruity wine without great tannic structure. It has attractive berry fruits and a dry core. With its fresh acidity, it will be ready to drink soon.

A black currant-flavored wine, it initially feels light and then broadens to give black currant and spice flavors. The tannins give a very dry character, leaving the fruit to struggle. Not for long-term aging; drink from 2016.

Garnet hue with ruby highlights. Focused nose showing a delightful mix of quality red fruit and refined, subtle oak. Good staying power on the palate. Full, warm and melted attack. More of the fruit supported by good exuberance imparting freshness.

Young dense ruby with some purple notes. Pure nose of cassis and crushed berries. The palate has medium weight but good density and purity of fruit, fine spices, good freshness and a rather long, clean finish.

Appealing garnet hue. Refined nose of vanilla and ripe black and red berry fruits. Soft palate, supple stuffing with melted tannins revealing oak and fruit aromas. Classic and well-made.

Young, deeply-coloured with red highlights. Ultra ripe nose with accents of almost jammy red fruits. On the palate, melted and supple, even though the oak tannins are more upfront on the finish. Fairly traditional.

Fairly deep, clean red. Focused nose of red fruits with a touch of liquorice. On the palate, a medium-bodied, supple wine with evident tannins framed by savoury fat. Displays great balance already across the palate.

A very nice Bordeaux red blend from Haut Medoc with Cabernet as the dominant grape. Crisp, fruit forward that lingers in palate with supple tannins and a dry finish at the end. Great with flank steak!

抜栓時にいい感じの熟成香が。しかし、まだ若いようで、それがまだ浸透しきっておらず、味わいも閉じている。翌日はかなり良くなった。凝縮感があり、クラシックなカベルネ主体の重厚感ある味わいに。香りに黒糖っぽさがあるのが特徴的だと思う。
