Attractive aromas of ripe berries, dried orange peel, chocolate and violets. Full-bodied, mellow and creamy with fine tannins and succulent fruit. Polished and refined. Drink or hold.
2015 Vintage
Tasted: Feb 2018
A very pretty zin with aromas of rose petals, orange peel, mineral, and cherries, all of which follow through to a full body. Velvety tannins and a juicy finish. Beautiful. Drink now.
1999 Vintage
Tasted: Jan 2002
This is a weightier, more tannic wine than Ballentine's regular Zin, and not quite so appealing or flavorful in its youth. There's a deep core of yummy fruit buried down deep that needs the right foods to release its sweetness.
