2022 Vintage Tasted: May 2024

Grown high in the foothills of the Alps in Alto Adige, this Chardonnay shows how the warm days and cold nights create singular wines. Opening with aromas of warmed peach pie, baked Fuji apples, lemon blossom and crushed stone the wine evolves with each passing moment. The palate is full in body but has the acidity to back up the ripe orchard and stone fruit flavors that yield to a creamy texture and mineral finish. Drink now–2035.

Leuchtendes, strahlendes Strohgelb. In der Nase präzise, mit elegantem Holzeinsatz, nach kaltem Rauch und kühler gelber Frucht, zart nach nassem Stein und Wachs. Am Gaumen mit satter gelber Frucht, spannt sich elegant auf, mineralischer Unterton, finessenreich und mit guter Länge.

A graceful chardonnay, whose clarity and originality make it stand out from the crowded Alto Adige and global fields of ambitious wines made from this grape. Just a hint of smoke, but not in an obviously oaky way, the dominant force being the tart-pear character that gives the wine both depth and vitality. Long, clean finish. Drink or hold.

Plenty of cooked-apple and praline aromas with some flint undertones. Jasmine, too. It’s full-bodied with lovely depth of fruit, such as pears, on the palate. Flavorful finish. Hint of smokiness. Drink now and enjoy.

This is a very serious white with kiwi and guava peel, introducing dried lemon rind and jasmine. Full-bodied and very oily, but trimmed into shape nicely by the direct acidity. Drink now.

Intensives Strohgelb mit funkelndem Kern. Fein gezeichnete Nase mit mineralischen Anklängen, reifem Apfel und etwas Litschi. Sehr elegant mit wohl ausbalanciertem Säure-Frucht-Spiel, salzig und lange anhaltend, im Finale frisch und klar wie ein Bergsee.
