Aromas of dried red cherries, as well as some riper nuances with plenty of violets and blueberries. The palate has a smooth and elegant feel with fine, chalky tannins holding good length and delivering plenty of red-fruit flavor. Drink or hold.

Tasted: Jan 2018
Quite a fragrant nose with attractive dried cranberry and strawberry notes. A well-structured and medium-full palate with moderately dry tannins, which are well integrated. The finish is fairly long and harmonious enough to drink it now.

Tasted: Jun 2017
Pretty aromas of cherries, roses and tobacco follow through to a medium body with a lovely texture. Long finish with fresh acidity at the end. Drink in 2020.

Tasted: Nov 2016
The purity of fruit is indeed impressive in this young red with dried berry, cherry and floral character. Full to medium body, very fine tannins and an intense and beautiful finish. Harmonious. Drink in 2018.

Menthol, ripe berry, vanilla and mocha aromas emerge in the glass. The palate offers dried black cherry, coffee and toast but not much fruit richness alongside bracing tannins that leave an astringent finish.
2011 Vintage
Tasted: Jan 2016
This opens with aromas of ripe berry, aromatic herb, pressed rose petal and a balsamic note. The rather lean palate offers sour cherry, crushed strawberry, sage and star anise alongside nervous acidity and tightly wound, astringent tannins that leave a rather raspy finish. Give this a few more years to unclench. Drink after 2019.

Aromas recall nail polish remover, mature plum, mint, sage and thyme. The palate displays red cherry-berry, balsamic notes, white pepper and sage. Astringent wood tannins give an abrupt and drying finish.

Tasted: Jan 2011
From the tiny Cannubi Muscatel (adjacent to Cannubi), this bright Barolo shows sweet spice and berry aromas followed by ethereal tones of cola and cedar wood. The tannins are drying, polished and tight.
