A fresh sensory display of luscious red berries and delicate springtime flowers invites you into the glass. This wine is composed of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 14% Mourvèdre and 6% Rolle. The nose is reminiscent of a fresh breakfast bowl of raspberries dusted with confectioner sugar. On the palate, additional notes of fresh apple skin, tangerine and crushed river stone are elevated by the refreshing saline finish.

2020 Vintage Tasted: Jan 2023

(2023) From Vaucluse in the southern Rhône Valley, this is a serious and structured rosé, though delicate in colour and aroma. Mostly Grenache, with some Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Rolle, vines grow at 550- 630-metres in the highest vineyard of the region. The vineyard is biodynamic, with an emphasis on maintaining the ecosystem, the hand-picked grapes double sorted and parcels vinified separately and around 25% is aged in barrel. Attractively pale salmon/peach in colour, the nose is crammed with small, firm red berry fruit aromas, some lemon peel adding a suggestion of grip. On the palate the sheer fruit sweetness surprises, with lots of creamy-ripe berries, but there's a great salts and citrus core to this, and a long, very clear finish. It is a serious pink this, perhaps reminiscent of Domaine Tempier's Bandol for example.

Full bodied and fragrant, it's packed with penetrating red-cherry, raspberry and strawberry notes. Hints of smoke and crushed granite on the nose accent zesty raspberry and strawberry on the palate of this dry, Grenache-dominant rosé (augmented by Syrah, Rolle, Cinsault and Mourvèdre). Grenache, Syrah und die weisse Sorte Rolle sind hier enthalten: Zarte Lachsfarbe. Sehr pure Nase mit Noten von frischgepflückten Himbeeren, Erdberblättern und einem Hauch von Orangenblüten. Straff am Gaumen, druckvoll und mit einer feinen, vifen Säure versehen, die feine Pfefferwürze im langen Finish ist grossartig. Ernsthafter Rosé zum Essen. Leichte Wok-Gerichte mit moderater Schärfe passen dazu.

This is a very pale rosé from a relatively high elevation site, so it shows ample crispness and elegance. Delicate aromas of herbs and citrus lead into flavors of peach and lime, with a bit of wet stone on the long, refreshing finish. This is well balanced and long, not a simple fruity rosé.

Helles Lachsrosa. Reife Zitrusnoten. Orange. Veilchen. Reduktiv. Extrem verhalten im Duft und bei längerer Zeit im Glas kommt deutlich mehr Florales. Intensiv den ganzen Mund auskleidende präsente Tannine und eine gut eingebundene Säure. Alles ist würzig und sehr trocken. Dieser Wein braucht unglaublich das Essen als Begleitung. Perfekt zu Vitello Tonnato. Kumquat kommt am Gaumen zum Ausdruck. Der Wein wird immer besser im Glas.
