Expert tasting note: (2024 vintage) "Deep, dark, not quite opaque purple-red color. Lifted dark-fruit aromas have a chocolatey nature. The palate is super-focused, with a precise & refined yet wonderfully smooth structure. Dark plum & cassis fruit is overlaid by chocolate & graphite notes. The wine is refined, elegant - perhaps even a touch haughty & probably a bit of a sleeper. Balanced alcohol adds some warmth to the mid-palate. Good acidity ensures a long finish of pure cassis & black-cherries." - 04/25 ep DCAMW

So succulent and long on the compacted palate, this shows just enough clean ripe berries as well as cedar and chocolate. This has polished, energizing tannins with a lovely and thoughtful drive, the light austerity giving the wine a push in the finish. Only 12.8% alcohol. A blend of 46% merlot, 48% cabernet franc and 6% cabernet sauvignon.

Deep garnet-purple colored. Is quite closed at this youthful stage, offering up a wall of clove oil, cedar, crushed rocks, and sandalwood scents, unfurling to reveal glimpses of red currant preserves, fresh blackberries, red roses, Sichuan pepper, and mint tea. The light-bodied palate is so, so elegant and finely knit, with filigree tannins and seamless freshness framing the perfumed black and red berry layers, finishing with impressive length and a myriad of floral, spice, and mineral nuances. Gorgeous.

Black raspberries, plums, flowers, espresso, citrus, and hints of chocolate fill the perfume. On the palate, the wine is fresh, long, clean, and intense. It exhibits lift and vibrancy, along with intensity and purity. This is a classic, firm, and fresh vintage for Cheval Blanc that is long, vibrant, and provides tension, length, and purity from beginning to end. The key to this year's vintage was the willingness to make strict selections, as well as allowing grapes from 37 parcels into the blend, ensuring a true representation of the vineyard. As you can see, this is one of the stars of the vintage. The wine is made from 48% Cabernet Franc, 46% Merlot, and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. 12.8% ABV, 3.61 pH. The harvest began September 18 for the Merlot, finishing their Cabernet Franc on October 3. Drink from 2030-2055.

Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate rim brightening. Delicatenougat, a hint of cassis and savouriness, with ripe cherry in the background, finewood nuances, multi-faceted, inviting bouquet. Taut, medium body, ripe tannins,fresh and elegant, still somewhat closed, mineral, good persistence, this winedefinitely needs time to integrate the tannins, sure development and certain ageingpotential.

This is a lighter version of the wine from this property. It is delicate and elegant, has fragrant violets and redcurrants/raspberries, and is impeccably structured on the palate with splendid midpalate and silky texture. Gorgeous effort.
