Prior to the 2022 vintage, this wine was classed as Premier Grand Cru Classe A.
Expert tasting note: (2024 vintage) "Deep, dark, not quite opaque purple-red color. Lifted dark-fruit aromas have a chocolatey nature. The palate is super-focused, with a precise & refined yet wonderfully smooth structure. Dark plum & cassis fruit is overlaid by chocolate & graphite notes. The wine is refined, elegant - perhaps even a touch haughty & probably a bit of a sleeper. Balanced alcohol adds some warmth to the mid-palate. Good acidity ensures a long finish of pure cassis & black-cherries." - 04/25 ep DCAMW

The 2024 vintage was marked by extraordinary rainfall, which meant that the vines grew slowly and irregularly, contributing to a very difficult cycle. It is expected that the cooler and wetter conditions of summer will benefit from a shorter period of traffic stress in August. The soils were watered by the rain, which helped maintain an equilibrium in the vineyard.
