Black strap molasses and ginger flavors are well balanced with oak and alcohol, wrppaed up in a rich and luscious mouthfeel. Lovely.
Baked plantain and classic dunder pit aromas are thick and inviting. Flavors of molasses, Jamaican black cake, and dried fruits are deeply concentrated. Just a touch of sweetness comes through with dried figs and overripe banana, highlighting the earthy side of this rum.
Notes of burned sugar, prune, chocolate and figs show through on the nose. The palate is rich and opulent but smooth. On the finish flavors of molasses and black pepper linger for a while.
