Medium-bodied, elegant, fresh, vibrant medium-bodied, and ready-to-go, the wine quickly leads you to its core of kirsch, and black raspberries, with their peppery edge in the mid-palate, that continues through to its finish. The wine was made blending roughly 82% Grenache, 5% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre, 4% Counoise, and 4% Vaccarese. Drink from 2025-2037.

2017 Vintage Tasted: Apr 2025

This is still so young, focused and almost restrained at this stage, with a nose exhibiting currants, dark plums, dried herbs, baking spices and meat. It's full-bodied with ripe, fine tannins. Textural and layered, with plenty of complexity on the succulent palate. Very refined, velvety and polished, yet there’s plenty of power and drive, verve and potential. A kick of dried flowers and bitter orange to the long, intense and controlled finish. Drink from 2028.

2022 Vintage Tasted: Apr 2025

This astonishing Chateauneuf-du-Pape has the enormous aromatic complexity and subtlety that we expect from Grand Cru red Burgundies. Enormous concentration and ample richness on the palate, and the structure behind this is no less impressive. Stacks of very fine tannins. The black and red berry fruit washes over you in a huge wave in the breathtaking licorice finish. So much drive and freshness. Enormous aging potential. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

2018 Vintage Tasted: Apr 2025

Plenty of blood-orange character to this juicy and textural Chateauneuf-du-Pape. On the nose it exhibits notes of sweet cherries, orange peel, sweet spices and a touch of leather, too. It's full-bodied with fine-grained tannins. So much vitality and succulence here. Attractive fruit meets a floral and savory edge. Refined texture with generosity yet restraint to the long, flavorful finish. This will age well. Drink or hold.

2021 Vintage Tasted: Apr 2024

A textural, pure and precise red with aromas of cherries, forest berries, dried roses, wet stones and some mild spices. It's medium-bodied with finely grained tannins and fresh acidity, So much verve and class, with a bright red fruit character and a floral dimension to it. There are spices bringing energy and verve. It's infused yet intense, with a restrained character. Chiseled and refined, with a long, silky finish and a spicy accent. Unfiltered. Try after 2027.

(Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah, Vaccarese) Der grosse Bruder des Côte du Rhône legt dann noch zwei Schippen Komplexität oben drauf. Neben den typischen Erdbeer-Aromen kommen auch Brombeeren, Kräuter, Tee, kühler Rauch, Karotte-Ingwer und florale Töne dazu, ein Gedicht. Im Gaumen kräftig, ausgesprochen druckvoll, jedoch nicht plump oder schwerfällig, die markante Tanninstruktur ist eindrücklich, die Gerbstoffe sind von höchster Güte, wird im mittleren Gaumen immer weicher, ja fast schon kuschelig, alle Elemente sind in ausgezeichneter Harmonie, der Abgang sehr, sehr lang. Natürlich, der Alkoholgrad ist bei solchen Weinen immer spürbar (auch bei Rayas), darum empfiehlt es sich, diese nicht zu warm zu servieren. 16 Grad sind ideal, um diesen bezaubernden Châteauneuf-du-Pape zu geniessen.
