Yellow-gold. Nose of white flower infusion and bush peach with a mineral and smoky edge. Tangible exotic characters, sappy weight and delicious, concentrated fruit on the palate. The finish stays focused on freshness. Pair with truffle-flavoured white meats.

(2020) Another delightful Premier Cru from Domaine Fourrey, this from the Côte de Léchet is in a creamier, more approachable style, less austere than some but that's far from saying it is at all Chablis, or anything other than an authentic, expressive wine. A touch of fig and apricot joins the salt-streaked apple on the nose, then the palate has that quite creamy, quite opulent character, stone fruits and pear, then the pin-point core of this wine; it's mineral and cool citrus acidity, quietly, efficiently extends the finish, giving this a lovely, tapering quality.

Brilliant, clear light gold. Very delicate, fruity, floral and menthol nose. Remarkably textured palate. A fresh, fleshy, silky wine delivering more of the same, very young array of aromas in this racy wine.

This cool premier cru vineyard, next to the producer's home village of Milly, has made a crisp, steely-textured wine. Acidity and minerality are very present to complement the bright, tangy citrus fruits. Drink the wine from 2021. Roger Voss

From the coolest of the Premier Cru vineyards, this is a crisp wine, packed with minerality as well as tight green fruits. The aftertaste with its flinty edge is spicy as well as deliciously fruity. Drink from 2018.
