Classified Red Wine. Cru Classe de Graves in 1959. This producer also makes a white wine. Ensure your merchant has the color you are looking for.
Critic tasting note: (1924 vintage) "Surprisingly good for the vintage, the wine is elegant, refined, supple, and packed with tobacco-laced cherries, plums, cigar wrappers, and scorched earth. Complex, long, and with fabulous energy, this is one of those bottles I will never see again, but it was certainly a wine to remember. Drink from 2024-2029." - Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider

In 1983 the estate was purchased by the Bernard Family, N° 1 in France on the spirits market and a major negociant of premium Bordeaux wines. It has been run ever since by Olivier Bernard who perpetuates that spirit of balance and the constant drive for perfection which have been the hallmark of this outstanding wine. The 1924 vintage was a distinct improvement from previous years, despite Bordeaux experiencing both a tricky spring and summer. However, a glorious September not only rescued the vintage but gave the oodles of sunshine needed to produce some stunning wines. Bordeaux's elite, like Château Margaux, Latour and Petrus all produc...
