A solid cabernet franc with blackberry, licorice and crushed stone aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with firm tannins and a juicy finish. From organically grown grapes. Better in two or three years when the tannins soften. Drink or hold.

2021 Vintage Tasted: Jul 2024

This is really fantastic, with aromas of chalk, gunpowder, blackberries and blackcurrants. It’s medium-bodied with tight, integrated tannins and a chewy, refined finish. The focus and beauty are so enticing. Pure cabernet franc. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification.

2020 Vintage Tasted: Oct 2023

Dark ruby red with a subtle lightening on the rim. On the nose, a lovely touch of blood orange zest, cassis, a hint of eucalyptus, liquorice, incense, very fruity. On the palate, juicy, fleshy, with precise fruit, savoury, aristocratic, wonderfully long, rosemary on the finish.

2020 Vintage Tasted: Jun 2023

A pure and juicy red with black berries, juicy fruit, spice and fresh herbs, like thyme. Some terra-cotta. Medium-bodied with juicy fruit and a creamy texture. Plenty of flavor at the end. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold.

2019 Vintage Tasted: Oct 2022

Rich, deep dark ruby with a fine purple sheen. Very clear and memorable nose with resinous cedar, lots of dark berry fruit, wild raspberry, blackberry and elderberry; tobacco in the background. Shows a lot of fine-meshed tannin on the palate and juicy, dark berry fruit. Opens up in many layers, energetic and vivid, with a firm drive on the finish.

2019 Vintage Tasted: Jul 2022

Fragrant nose of violets, dried flowers, plums, morello cherries, milk chocolate and toffee. It’s supple and juicy, with a medium body and creamy tannins. Lovely, plush plum fruit and a caressing, lengthy finish. Very structured at the end. Needs a couple of years at least. This is in form like a top long distance runner. From organically/biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink after 2025.

Potentissimo e slanciato il Cabernet Franc di Duemani nell'annata 2018 non accetta compromessi e mostra un profilo maturo decisamente brillante ed avvolgente che rapisce il lettore. I sentori di china e rabarbaro aprono la scena sensoriale e si fondono a note di mirtilli, foglie di tè verdi, peperoni, pietra calda e pepe bianco. Corpo pieno, tannini fini di piacevolissima fattura ed un finale sincero e lungo che fa della succosità e l'armonica del sorso la sua arma principale. Meglio dal 2023.

2018 Vintage Tasted: Aug 2021

Clear, intense ruby-violet. Very intense and clear nose, plenty of ripe wild raspberry and blackberry with pickled beetroot, earthy notes and tobacco in the background. Very juicy on the palate, ripe berry fruit, opens with fine-meshed tannin and has great drinking flow with some tobacco on the finish.

This has an aromatic array of ripe red and black cherries, blackcurrants, blueberries, cloves, cedar, fresh herbs and licorice. It’s full-bodied, incredibly smooth and polished with layers of ripe fruit and chocolate, yet with lifting freshness. Fine, silky tannins and a long finish. Lingering chocolate and spices. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Delicious now, but better from 2022.

Camaleontico e a tratti sexy questo giovane rosso mostra un profilo complesso ricco di marasca, fragoline di bosco, ribes, mirtilli pressati, visciole, datteri, polvere da sparo e cioccolato fondente. Corpo pieno, potente e d'impostazione avvolgente mostra un struttura levigata figlia di conoscenza del territorio e notevole interpretazione dei vitigni. Il finale è luminoso e di spiccata vivacità. 2017 Vintage Tasted: Sep 2020

Rich, deep dark ruby with black core. Very clear and intense nose, in the foreground ripe, dark berryish fruit especially blueberry, notes of tobacco and cardamom follow. Multi-layered on the palate, beautiful interplay of concise fruit, fine spice and substantial tannin, firm drive on the finish.

2016 Vintage Tasted: Sep 2019

Rich ruby red with light garnet shimmer. Opens with fine savoury notes of cinnamon and ginger, then dark currant and elderberry. On the palate earthy and seems to float on a fine savoury carpet with juicy fruit, opening with vivid, dense tannin and full drive on the finish.

Sattes, undurchdringliches Rubin. Sehr intensive und duftige Nase, wie ein Korb voll dunkler Beerenfrucht, von Heidelbeere über Brombeere zu Johannisbeersirup, dazu dunkle Schokolade, sehr spannend. A layered and rich cabernet franc with tobacco, blackberries, bark and licorice. Full body, very fine tannins that are polished with beautiful fruit and a long, long finish. Shows muscle yet polish. Needs four or five years to soften. Drink in 2023.

2014 Vintage Tasted: Sep 2017

Rich, deep dark ruby with a purple hue. Intense and exciting nose, rich notes of ripe wild raspberries, dark currants, combined with fine chocolate, very clear. Taut and hearty initially and when developing, bold, dense tannins, multi-layered, intertwined with lots of sweet fruitiness, on the finish a lot of tobacco, very long.

2015 Vintage Tasted: Aug 2017

The dried flowers are wonderful in this with a violet and rose petal character. Dark fruits, too. Full body, dense and chewy with dusty texture from the ripe tannins. This has an energy and focus that keeps your attention. Better in 2020 but great to taste already. Made from biodynamic grapes and Demeter certified.

This is so beautifully crafted with cedar, berry and chocolate character and ultra-fine yet intense tannins. Violets. Medium body, delicious fruit and texture. Goes on for minutes. Made from biodynamic grapes and Demeter certified.

2013 Vintage Tasted: Nov 2016

This is a phenomenal cabernet franc. The depth and intensity are so spectacular with fantastic richness and power. It is full-bodied but finishes with energy and greatness. Lively acidity. 20 months in new wood and almost 10 months in cement. Exceptional 2013. One of the wines of the vintage. Biodynamically grown grapes. Greatest wine ever from here and the best cabernet franc ever from Italy. Better in 2019.

Deep dark, rich ruby with black core. Appealing and dense nose, opens with notes of sandalwood and cinnamon, then plums and cassis, very dense. Salty palate with compact, vivid fruit, opens with dense tannins, earthy and deep, cigar box finish, rich drive.

2012 Vintage Tasted: Sep 2015

Rich, impenetrable ruby-purple with black core. Dense and memorable nose, lush blackberry and elderberry fruit, with sandalwood in the background. Powerful palate, showing lots of dark, fleshy berry fruit, then opens with tightly woven tannins with a sweet core, multi-layered, spicy and long finish, just at the beginning of a wonderful evolution.

2012 Vintage Tasted: Aug 2015

The clarity and beauty to this wine are breathtaking. The aromas of peaches, orange peel, blueberries and blackberries are truly amazing. Full body, phenomenal depth of fruit and silky tannins. There is polish and finesse, yet the strength is monumental. Better in 2018 but why wait? Demeter certified as biodynamic.
