Shy aromas of green-apple candy are playful but restrained on the nose of this wine. The palate follows suit, hinting at notes of Granny Smith, blanched almonds and Emmental. Light bodied and refreshingly bright, the wine is artfully balanced and nuanced. Despite the whisper-soft mouthfeel, it's complex in flavor. A slight alcohol burn on the finish diminishes as the wine opens up.

Depuis 1626, la famille Trimbach produit des vins d’Alsace de grande qualité, tel que ce Pinot blanc qui est en fait l’archétype du vin de plaisir. Paré d’une robe couleur jaune paille, ce vin blanc sec, particulièrement convivial et polyvalent, révèle une palette aromatique évoquant la pomme, la poire, le citron, l'abricot et les fleurs blanches. Absolument rafraîchissant, droit et invitant, le vin offre une bouche tout à fait agréable et équilibrée. Les flaveurs, nettes et invitantes, persistent agréablement alors que la dimension fruitée, juteuse et bien mûre, gratifie nos papilles et nous laisse un bon volume en bouche. La vivacité et l’équilibre du vin charment et séduisent par leur franchise et leur spontanéité autant que par leur affabilité et leur tendresse. Un vrai vin de gourmandise qui combine avec brio, fraîcheur, subtilité et saveurs. Hautement recommandable. Servir à 12 °C. Agréable aussi bien en apéritif qu'avec la blanquette de veau, la fondue au fromage, la raclette, la salade César, la poitrine de poulet rôti, ou avec les trempettes de légumes.

Trimbach may be famed for its superb (and expensive) Rieslings, but for a great value, this Pinot Blanc is a well-made, ripe, rounded wine, which is just now completely ready to drink. With flavors of white peaches and an impressive richness, this could be drunk as an apéritif, but could equally partner cold cuts or fish.
