This is very bright and pure, showing lime peel, grapefruit, crushed stones and white flowers on the nose. It’s zesty and medium-bodied on the palate, with a cool, dry and racy finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification. Drink now or hold. Screw cap.

The attractive nose of orange, lime zest and white peach with floral nuances pulls you into the sleek, barely medium-bodied dry riesling that has bright citrusy fruit and very lively acidity. Long, very clean finish with subtle herbal nuances. From organically grown grapes. Sustainable. Drink now. Screw cap.

Tasted: Jul 2023
Light golden yellow, silver reflections. Somewhat shy bouquet, very delicate peach and lychee, a hint of white flowers, tangerine zest, needs plenty of air. Full-bodied, elegant, fine acidity, nuances of white fruit, seems filigree and mineral. A light-footed food wine, which will still clearly improve with further ageing.

The 2017 vintage was very warm, yet Fred Loimer was able to produce this luscious Riesling with an alcohol level of only 12 percent. He has 161 acres of vines in six vineyard sites throughout the region, where he farms biodynamically. He believes that this is the best way to express a wine’s origin. While he farms and harvests manually, he keeps up with the technology of modern agriculture. As he states on his website, “we try to be independent and undogmatic.” He was one of the founding members of respekt-BIODYN with members from Austria, Germany, Italy and Hungary, that offers a biodynamic certification purely tailored to viticulture. This Riesling was fermented and aged three months in stainless steel before bottling. With three years of age in the bottle, it is still quite fresh and lively with floral, peach, pear aromas with a touch of lychee. In the mouth, textured flavors of peach, apricot, pear, and almond are simultaneously dense and svelte. Crisp and lively acidity provide a long, mouthwatering finish. It will add to your appreciation of a summer evening or complement grilled shrimp with a lemon butter sauce. (Rebecca Murphy)

Medium bright greenish yellow. An inviting fragrance of apricot with some herbal savouriness, a hint of papaya, delicate blossom honey and some caramel. The palate is juicy and tight, with good complexity, tight-knit minerality, racy acidity and some passion fruit and blossom honey on the finish. Long lasting and with definite ageing potential.

This wine's ripe Mirabelle plum aromas have a lovely lick of lemon. The palate is light, juicy, easy and svelte, with just enough lemony flavor to be really refreshing. Anne Krebiehl MW

A riper touch of russet-pear peel joins the fresh lemon notes on the nose. On the palate, zesty concentration becomes evident. This is compact and has impact but retains a juicy, friendly core that makes you want to sip more. Lemon ripeness continues through the long, dry finish.
