A dark and complex Barolo with fresh violets, black cherries, pomegranates, blood oranges, wax and graphite on the nose. Full-bodied, it shows density and concentration, with refined tannins, flowing fruit and refreshing acidity. Toasty, super-refined finish. Drink or hold.

Noch nicht auf dem Markt, aber bereits in dieser Phase ein Charakterwein, der mit seiner facettenreichen Nase nach Brombeeren, Orangenzesten und Trockenblumen überzeu> vereint Charakter und Schliff, die Gerbstoffe perfekt integriert, elegant und von grosser Länge. Hat sogar noch Potenzial nach oben.

The fresh and just ripe strawberry aromas really come through here, together with some licorice and floral highlights. Medium to full body with fine, focused tannins that are vertical and bring your palate down through the wine. A solid and beautiful wine for the vintage. Try after 2025.

Aromas of French oak and roasted coffee bean lead the nose along with whiffs of pressed rose petal, eucalyptus and the barest hint of berry. The firm, full-bodied palate offers licorice, coconut, vanilla and dried cherry alongside assertive, close-grained tannins. You'll also feel the warmth of alcohol on the close. Drink 2025–2032. Leuchtendes Rubingranat. Sehr präsente und intensive Nase, duftet einladend nach reifen Waldhimbeeren, dazu etwas Leder und Lakritze. Im Ansatz sehr mächtig, reife Kirsche und Zwetschken in den Aromen, griffiges, zupackendes Tannin, kernig, aber auch guter Schmelz, kann ruhig noch etwas lagern.

Fabulous aromas of ripe strawberry and raspberry with hazelnut and citrus follow through to a medium to full body with ultra-fine tannins and a racy and refined finish. It’s so fresh for the vintage and goes on for minutes. A classy and great wine. Better after 2025.

Underbrush, toast and oak aromas form the nose. Firm and austere, the linear palate evokes tart cranberry, raw pomegranate, sage and roasted coffee bean alongside taut, close-grained tannins. Drink 2023–2030. Kerin O’Keefe

Intense, rich ruby red with light rim Compact red berry nose of raspberries and rosehips, hints of pomegranate and blood orange. Very smooth complex palate, extremely elegant, great texture, focus and drive paired with fresh red fruit and crisp tannins. A powerful wine with a substantial length and finish.

Extremely pure fruit on the nose here with aromas of plums and strawberries and hints of cedar and rose petals, as well as rose stems. Full body. Very tannic and structured, yet polished and refined. Dusty and stony undertones and textures. Drink after 2021.

Aromas of underbrush, dark berry, new leather and a whiff of camphor waft out of the glass. The tense chiseled palate evokes Marasca cherry, raspberry, star anise and a hint of cinnamon alongside polished fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. Drink 2022–2032. Kerin O’Keefe

Intensives, kraftvolles Rubinrot mit leicht aufhellendem Rand. Verhaltene Nase, leicht animalisch-fleischig, zeigt keine klare Frucht. Wenig expressiv auch am Gaumen, zwar stoffig, aber insgesamt noch sehr harsch im Abgang.

The nose opens with a startling play between white truffles, bark and tea leaves and then crushed violets, lavender, blueberry peel, lemon rind and sour cherries. Full body, ultra-fine tannins, acidity as sharp as a razor and a long, ethereally mineral finish. The length but sheer clarity and accuracy in the delivery is remarkable. Perhaps hard to believe that this better than the 2013, but it is. Drink in 2022.

Star anise, pressed rose petal, aromatic herb and camphor are just some of the aromas you'll find on this taut, polished red. The firmly structured, elegant palate delivers sour cherry, pomegranate, licorice and ground clove set against a backbone of fine-grained tannins. It's young but balanced, with bright acidity. Give it time to reach its full potential. Drink 2021–2033.

Helles, sattes leuchtendes Rubinrot. Sehr feingliedrige und filigrane Nase, duftet zurückhaltend nach Kirschen, roten Johannisbeeren und im sind Hintergrund Chinarinde und Zimt zu finden. Straff am Gaumen mit genügend Saft, eng gewobenen Tanninen, eher präsentem Alkohol und verhaltener Frucht.

Lots of beautiful aromas of strawberries, cherries, oranges and white chocolate follow through to a full body with a fantastic, dense and chewy mouth feel and a long finish. So precise. Starting drinking in 2022.
2010 Vintage

Made with Nebbiolo from Gaja's holdings in the Cerequio vineyard in La Morra, with a touch of Barbera, this combines finesse, structure and depth. It's highly perfumed with rose, balsamic notes, berry and spice that follow through to red cherry, raspberry, white pepper, licorice and mint flavors. It's balanced with polished tannins and closes on a mineral note. Drink 2018–2030.
