Ruby, thin brick rim. Served blind. Cherries, anise, spices, liquorice notes nose. Elegant if lighter. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, cherries, morellos, bit high alcohol, spices, long finish. Bit narrow.
2020 Vintage

So many aromas of fresh rose petals as well as hibiscus tea. Medium-bodied with crunchy and flowery character with sliced strawberries and a bright finish. So appealing with lovely structure. Chewy at the end. Drinkable but better in three or four years.

This has aromas of iron, mineral, bitter chocolate, wild strawberries, raw walnuts, orange peel and decayed roses. Medium- to full-bodied, with sleek and very chalky tannins. Lots of fruit on the palate with a fine, fresh and mineral end. Pure and linear. Try in 2025.

Clear, brightening ruby garnet. Fragrant, finely marked nose, of raspberry, rose petals and ripe cherries, inviting. Polished, finely meshed tannin characterizes the wine on the palate, like a fine robe, salty, lots of ripe cherry, long finish.

Fragrant and loaded with extraordinary finesse, this radiant red offers intense aromas of rose, violet, perfumed berry and camphor. The savory palate boasts flavor, energy and almost ethereal elegance, featuring red cherry, raspberry compote and baking spice alongside taut, polished tannins. It closes on a note of star anise while vibrant acidity keeps it impeccably balanced. It's already enjoyable but will also offer years of fine wining. Drink through 2033. Kerin O’Keefe

Funkelndes, aufhellendes Rubingranat. Sehr klare und präsente Nase mit ausgeprägten Noten nach frischen Zwetschken, Granatapfel und Rhabarber, ausgewogen. Am Gaumen überaus geschliffen, viel feinmaschiges Tannin, breitet sich klar und kontinuierlich aus, saftige Frucht, salzig im Finale.

Aromas of ripe strawberries with hazelnuts, blood oranges and some coconut. Full-bodied with very refined and polished tannins that nicely form this young red wine. Fresh and delicious aftertaste of berry, cedar, bark and dark chocolate. Ever so subtle, yet powerful and driven at the finish. Very long and intense. Very classical style to it and cooler. This is a blend of seven vineyards including the Costa Russi and Sori Tilden. Approachable now, but better after 2025 and onwards.

Bright, ruby core with hints of garnet on the rim. Emphatic savory notes of cloves, some roses and lots of juicy cherry on the nose. Round and supple fruit concentration on the palate, opens up further with vivid, crisp tannins, very well integrated fresh acidity and a firm focused drive to the finish.

Fragrant and refined, this opens with heady scents of wild berry, rose petal, camphor and underbrush. Elegantly structured, the polished palate offers ripe Marasca cherry, blood orange and star anise framed in taut, fine-grained tannins. Drink 2022–2029. Kerin O’Keefe

Glorious aromas of flowers, crushed berries, strawberries and dried herbs. Some tea. Full-bodied and layered with a wonderfully curated, polished tannin structure and backbone. Give it three or four years to soften. Try after 2023.
2012 Vintage

Esbelto já no nariz, com cerejas e muita mineralidade. A força em boca é impressionante. Tem perfil medicinal e os taninos são poderosos e, ao mesmo tempo, finos. Muito jovem hoje, requer e merece paciência, pois não falamos em anos, mas em décadas de evolução nesse vinho. Desde 1978 faz um ano de envelhecimento em barricas pequenas, 1 ano em botti grande e um ano em garrafa. Mas ,o que pode explicar a qualidade superior deste Barbaresco é que Angelo Gaja, em 2012, não lançou nenhum de seus single vineyards e as uvas destes grandes vinhedos foram aplicadas neste blend.
2014 Vintage

Tinto elaborado exclusivamente a partir de Nebbiolo, com estágio de 12 meses em botti e mais 12 meses em barricas de carvalho francês. Complexo, mostra notas florais e de tabaco envolvendo os aromas de frutas vermelhas frescas e ao licor, depois aparecem toques especiados, terrosos e de cacau. Ainda jovem, tem boca exuberante, taninos de ótima textura, acidez vibrante e final persistente, com toques minerais e de cerejas. Álcool 14%.
2016 Vintage

Eleganza pura nel calice grazie all'enorme bouquet floreale di petali di rosa, succo di pompelmo, buccia di mandarino, succo di limone e fiori bianchi, questo giovane Barbaresco stupisce a primo impatto. Intrigante e profondo rivela dolcemente la sua essenza con sopraffina armonia. Corpo pieno, tannini setosi di encomiabile fattura ed un finale solido e compatto che dona garanzie e certezza sulla sua vita futura. Meglio dal 2022.

Aromas of rose, red berry and eucalyptus mingle with whiffs of exotic spice on the gorgeous, fragrant red. Loaded with finesse and tension, the elegant, structured palate delivers crushed raspberry, white pepper and star anise set against fresh acidity and taut, lithe tannins.
