2021 Vintage Tasted: Oct 2023
Branco composto a partir de 90% Chardonnay e 10% Sauvignon Blanc, cultivadas em vinhedos próprios localizados em Barbaresco e Serralunga d'Alba, no Langhe, com estágio de 6 meses em barricas de carvalho. Ainda jovem, precisa de paciência na taça ou na garrafa para que mostre todas suas camadas de aromas e de sabores. Mais de boca que de nariz, impressiona pela qualidade e nitidez de suas frutas brancas e de caroço frescas, seguidas de notas florais, de ervas, de frutos secos e de especiarias doces, que se confirmam no palato. Tenso e preciso, tem acidez elétrica, textura firme e cremosa e final cheio e longo (muito longo), com toques cítricos, redutivos, de pêras, de pêssegos, de frutos secos e de umami. Álcool 13,5%.

2003 Vintage Tasted: Jan 2005
Mainly Chardonnay (with up toSauvignon Blanc) from several vineyards in Barbaresco and Serralunga, fermented in stainless, then matured in oak. The result is a mealy, toasty wine full of honeysuckle and pear fruit. Soft and round in the mouth, yet it firms up nicely on the finish.
2002 Vintage Tasted: Mar 2004
This wine is produced from grapes grown in estate-owned vineyards, including one named for Gaja's younger daughter, Rossana (Rossj). There is a splash of sauvignon in the mix. Expect a big mineral, chalky, spicy lees nose with light vanilla and peach aromas. Elegant and soft it is round on the palate with creamy vanilla, orange, honey floral mineral flavours. Nice finesse but soft. Drink over the next 1-2 years max. (Stuart Tobe).
2001 Vintage Tasted: Mar 2003
Ripe peach, spicy, vanilla, mineral aromas with citrus rinds and floral notes. Rich round and quite dry yet elegant. Spicy, lees butter and mineral flavours with a citrus rind nectarine finish. A sophisticated, slightly austere style chardonnay that needs a few years to round out. (Stuart Tobe).
1999 Vintage Tasted: Jan 2003
(2003) Some smoky, charry French oak and mineral quality. Decent citrussy fruit with hints of hazelnut and peach. Pleasant palate with good fruit that is ripe and integrated with gentle but keen acidity. Very fine.
