Now owned by Burgundy negociant Louis Latour, this producer has made a ripe, lightly structured wine. The 50-year-old vines have added some structure to the black fruits and acidity to give a dry edge that balances the fruit. Drink now. Roger Voss

A wine that goes all out in the juicy, crisp stakes, this is bright with red-currant fruit and plenty of acidity. Old vines in this case means 50 years and there is some concentration as well as good fruitiness. Drink the wine now.
