Tangy, rich and fresh, with well-integrated, yeasty notes of brioche and pastry and lightly roasted cashew nuts. Refined, small effervescence, flavorful fruit and an intense, yeasty finish. Long and generous, but also restrained. A very serious Cava that deserves attention. Try this if you think good Champagnes are a bit demanding with acidity. Drink now or hold." - James Suckling

- Joan and Josep Juvé Camps, the second generation of the family, set off on their path towards excellence, seeking out the best land and the finest vineyards for their winery. Thanks to these two men, the Espiells estate today is home to an incomparable wine-making legacy. Its oldest, most special goblet-trained vines are the prized source of this fine cava. Gran Juvé is the result of an exhaustive selection what our ancestors did in the vineyard and an elaboration where the mastery in the assembly is the key. An act where the different melodies that intones each terroir unite forming a majestic and elegant symphony.

Juvé & Camps Cava Grand Reserva de la Familia is a pleasant sparkling wine with some obvious age in the bubbles, mainly coming from cask notes, but it retains a nice vibrancy with both apple and neutral fruit flavors. While a good sipping wine, the aged flavors do make it very eligible for table wine service. (Roger Morris)

Current condition: Ready to drink
The 2018 Spanish vintage was largely a success.
The growing season was cooler than normal and saw large amounts of rain. The damp conditions caused significant problems with humidity, rot and mildew however, producers who carefully picked were ultimately rewarded.
