Critic tasting note: (2008 vintage) "Smoky, tobacco leaf, black olive, peppery, meaty, savoury, black cherry and vanilla aromas with a touch of coffee. Smooth, round, fresh palate with light tannins. Gamey, peppery, blueberry, black olive, tobacco, smoky, vanilla, coffee flavours. A bit tart on the finish but with good fruit and complexity perhaps reflecting its cooler region. Good value. Peppery, liquorice, leather, leafy, tobacco, blackberry aromas with a bit of olive and blueberry. Round, fresh, ripe palate but dry with coffee, tobacco, black cherry kirsch, vanilla, coconut, resin and sausage flavours. Finish is dry and a bit cedar-y with blueberry and light tannins.
