Dunkles Rubingranat, tiefer Kern, violette Reflexe, zarter Wasserrand. Zart nach schwarzer Beerenfrucht, etwas Lakritze und Trüffel. Mittlerer Komplexität, Brombeeren, präsente Tannine, frisch strukturiert, dunkle Mineralität, bleibt haften, verfügt über Reifepotenzial.

A wine that has a dense core of fruit, with blackberry and licorice character. Full body with velvety tannins and fresh finish. Balance and character are two words that come to mind for this wine. Better in 2018.

A solid wine in a diffcult vintage, deep in color, with licorice, coffee bean, black cherry, flowers and truffle in the perfume, the wine delivers soft, round textures, and a lush, round, slightly short finish. This should drink quite well on release and have the ability to improve with a few years of bottle age. 92 Points

90-92. Barrel sample. This wine feels solid, with its tannins forming a base for the juicy red- and dark-berry flavors. It shows a dry side and a dense finish.

Malescot ist immer ein Wein mit ausgeprägtem Eigencharakter, der nur ein Vorbild kennt: sich selber. Das ist auch 2010 der Fall: Erstaunlich feurig, reich und rund für das Jahr und doch von grosser Frische, dicht, satt und lang, aus später Reife und mit spürbarem Merlotanteil in der Assemblage.

Granat-Rubin, leicht oranger, wässriger Reiferand! Auf den ersten Blick und Duft wenig entwickelt. Dann deutliche Teer Noten vor allem am Gaumen, rauhes aufrollendes Tannin. Zu weit und schnell entwickelt...Diese Flasche hat ihren Zenit hinter sich und zerfällt leider schon. Eher schwach nach nicht mal 15 Jahren. Mein schwächster 11er. Den Jahrgang halte ich immer noch für unterschätzt trotzdem
