- This is the original Supervenetian created by Masi in 1964 and internationally recognised as a wine of “stupendous body and complexity”, the prototype for a new category of wines from the Veneto inspired by the Amarone production method (Burton Anderson). Savoury, peppery, black cherry, tobacco, almond, tobacco and sausage meat aromas. Fresh, round, easy palate with very light tannins. Chocolate, balsamic, black cherry, tobacco, smoky, savoury meat flavours. A bit rustic but elegant and flavourful. (Anthony Gismondi and Stuart Tobe).
