Baked plums, star anise and dark soil aromas make for a pleasing nose on this bottling. The palate lands smoothly with clove, mace and creamy berry flavors, as a tannic bite hits briefly.
2017 Vintage
Tasted: Mar 2020
This blend of 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 25% Tannat and 13% Malbec, which professes to be 100% vegan, starts with pretty if simple aromas of crushed berries, earth and herb on the nose. Fresh berries kick off the sip as well, which picks up oregano, potting-soil and savory beef-char flavors toward the finish. Matt Kettmann

Tasted: Jan 2018
This blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Merlot is quite reserved on the nose, showing dark red cherry, damp pine and earthy, wet campfire aromas. The wood spice shows strongly on the sip, where cigar box meets with mulberry and sweet berry flavors.
