Critic tasting note: (2020 vintage) "Such depth and introverted complexity here, full of stemmy blue fruits, white pepper funk, graphite, berries, violets and hints of grilled herbs and lard. As you give it time, it starts to exude a more enticing energy, with more mineral, grilled Mediterranean herbs, tarragon and wild berries that explode on the fresh yet fluffy center palate. Real tension here with fine, al-dente tannins and a long and expressive finish. Super knit and firm, too. Drink or hold." - James Suckling

Wonderful aromas of very dark berries with orange peel and dark bark. Crushed black pepper, too. Full-bodied and slightly chewy, yet the tannins are polished and attractive. This has lots of structure. Give it time to soften and open. Try after 2023.

Amarena cherry and shortbread on the nose with a little chocolate. A complex palate with ripe acidity, mellow, ripe tannin grain, and a clear but still youthfully tight fruit character. Despite the density and breadth there is also a transparent, quite light-footed structure.

Amarena cherry and shortbread, with chocolate on the nose. The palate has all the components, ripe acidity, mellow, juicy tannin grain, a very clear fruit profile that is still youthfully closed, but hints at complexity to come. It has density and breadth but also a transparent, quite light-footed structure.

Fascinating aromas of crushed berries and dried flowers with some cedar and sandalwood. Full-bodied with round, ripe tannins and a pretty finish. Solid and beautiful. Hard not to drink now, but will improve with age. Try after 2021.

Guia 2020. Color: cereza intenso. Nariz: elegante, fruta roja, fruta confitada, especiado, cacao fino. Boca: redondo, sabroso, fino amargor.

Quite savory, stony aromas with ripe plum paste, black olives and black cherries. The palate has smooth, ripe and deep-set tannins that carry a very fresh, gently peppery edge and deliver dark-plum and black-cherry flavors. Really impressive structure and detail. Drink now or hold.

Some darker cherries, blackberries and foresty wood and lightly leafy aromas. Super fresh. The palate has a peppery, smooth and succulent edge. Super-fine, powdery tannins sweep long and even. Drink now.
