This is well-delineated and full of pear, green melon and wet stone aromas and flavors. A solid backbone of acidity balances and links everything, and the persistent flavors keep you coming back for more.

Medium greenish yellow, silver reflections. Slightly smoky, finely spiced apricot fruit, soft notes of orange zest, very inviting bouquet, mineral underpinnings. Taut, elegant, white stone fruit, finesse-rich acidity, subtle yellow tropical fruit on the finish, good ageing potential, a multi-faceted food wine.

Tasted: Jun 2022
Bright greenish yellow, silver reflections. Delicate pineapple, a touch of peach, nuances of lime zest and a mineral touch. Juicy, elegant, pleasant fruit expression countered by a lively acidity, white fruit on the finish, lime aftertaste, tight-knit and finesse-rich, shows length, has certain ageing potential.

Tasted: Oct 2021
A ripe and generous dry riesling for the 2020 vintage, this has plenty of citrus and a hint of exotic fruit. Lovely balance of creaminess and elegant acidity makes this flow gracefully over the generous palate. So bright and harmonious at the very long finish. Drink or hold.

Tasted: Jul 2021
Light lemon-green with silver reflections. A multi-faceted bouquet with delicate tangerine zest, savoury minerality, yellow stone fruit notes, and a floral touch. Taut and juicy, it seems relatively light-footed, with racy, savoury acidity and lime on the finish. Still a little underdeveloped, it will benefit from bottle ageing.

Tasted: Mar 2021
Both the breezy zestiness of fresh lemon and the ripeness of tangerine play enticingly on the nose. The palate comes in with even more citric force, with the stony depths—for now—obscured by all of the tangerine and lemon flavors. There is, however, no doubt about a steely, strong core. Enjoy 2025–2050. Anne Krebiehl MW

Tasted: Oct 2020
The peach, mango and papaya aromas pour from the glass, but the smoky note beautifully counterpoints this rich, concentrated dry riesling that has wonderful succulence wrapped around the excellent structure. Lavish yet precise finish. Drink or hold.

Tasted: Jul 2020
Light yellow-green, silver reflections. Delicate smoky undertones, elegant stone fruit nuances of white peach, some mango, floral touch, mineral. Tight, tightly wound, white tropical fruit, refined and persistent, a hint of lemon balm on the finish, and a good food wine.

Tasted: Mar 2020
A lovely, pure and lifted notion of ripe Amalfi lemon peel appears on the nose first and is followed by lovely notions of ripe Mirabelle plum. The palate again features those fruits: juicy Mirabelle flesh pervaded by lemon freshness and purity. The body is concentrated and juicy, vivid and fresh, full of energy and drive, precise with its alluring lemon zestiness. Drink 2025–2045. Anne Krebiehl MW

Still a bit reserved, this great dry riesling is just beginning to open up. Stunning dried-peach and candied-citrus character with just a hint of smoked tea on the nose. Great concentration on the palate, yet hardly any feeling of weight, the finish long and complete. Drink or hold.

A smoky edge of reduction still hangs over this wine, but underneath it, the unmistakeable freshness of bright lemon peeks through. This lemon streak also informs the concentrated, taut palate. The finish is dry, juicy and lemony. Anne Krebiehl MW

Tasted: Aug 2017
Some botrytis (floral honey) on the nose, but on the palate the wine carries this extremely well and gains extra concentration from it. The crisp acidity makes the finish very clean in spite of the power and richness. Drink or hold.

Tasted: Jan 2017
Fresh earth and gloriously ripe stone fruit make for a convincing opening on the nose. The palate swings with this sonorous, earthy edge and frames rich, ripe and rounded pear and yellow plum fruit. Overall, there is zesty fresh citrus that gathers everything together and presents a concentrated wine with drive and personality. The finish is long, clean and convincing. Drink 2020–2040.

The scent of ripe Mirabelle plums engulfs the nose and unfolds even further on the palate. The plump fruit is tempered by sprightly, fresh lemon. It is purity of fruit with a wholesome edge of earthiness that distinguishes this streamlined, poised wine. The length is astonishing.

A soft impression of ripe peach mellows the zesty concentration. The wine is still enigmatic at this point, but will open and reveal more fruit, more ripeness and even more citrus flavors. Enjoy as of 2017.
