Producer Notes: Property of the Quié family, Château Rauzan-Gassies is provided with 30 hectares of vines in the Margaux appellation and 30 hectares in the Haut-Médoc appellation. It is this famous terroir of Haut-Médoc where L'Orme de Rauzan-Gassies is coming from. This delightful story began in 1936, when Paul Quié offered Château Bel-Orme as a wedding gift to his wife, Lucienne, and continued a few years later, when they purchased together Château Rauzan-Gassies. Since then, the Orme residence has been the new generation’s family home, revisiting with L’Orme de Rauzan-Gassies, the finesse of a great wine, charming and fruity.

Medium to deep ruby-red color. Aromas are of cassis with leafy touches. The fruit on the palate is a lifted red-fruit & cassis with some new vanilla oak. There is fresh acidity & balanced alcohol. The tannins seem mature and soft & length is reasonable - this ia a pretty passable Margaux at a fair price point. 11/12 DCAMW
