When to drink: 2022 to 2052

The 2005 Raymond-Lafon is medium to deep straw-gold in color. It shoots out with citrus and tropical notes followed by fallen leaves, crushed rocks, and beeswax. The rich, unctuous palate is so youthful, with tons of expressive fruit and seamless freshness, finishing long and spicy. This should age incredibly!

The 2022 Raymond-Lafon is pale lemon-straw in color. It hops out with vibrant scents of fresh mango, juicy peaches, and orange blossoms, plus hints of toasted almonds and crème brûlée. The full-bodied palate is concentrated with just enough freshness and a long, opulent finish. For the hedonists!

enjoyment. It has intense flavors of heat her honey, mandarin peel, and sweet grapefruit. There is an amazing complexity and excellent acidity that balances the sweetness. It is unctuous and sophisticated, finishing richly with notes of honey.

From magnum. Following the good flow ering period, the weather conditions remained ideal throughout the harvest, necessitating only three pickings. 70% of the harvest went into Grand Vin. Pure, with a very aromatic profile and a huge intensity of flavors, including acacia honey, apricots, and walnuts. Rich, outstanding balance, and sophisticated touch. It's a fabulous wine with great keeping potential.

The wine has intense aromas of black fruits, particularly blueberries and cherries, creating a rich and powerful experience. On the palate, it is vibrant, featuring fine acidity and a well-defined midpalate structure, culminating in a long aftertaste. This is a fabulous wine.

70% Merlot + 30% Cabernet Franc. Spicy black fruit (blueberries and cherries) mixed with redcurrants and raspberries, splendid intensity, elegance, and finesse on the palate, vibrant with fine acidity, splendid midpalate, well structured, and long aftertaste. Excellent effort, indeed.

It displays a seductive nose of violets and blackcurrants. It is lush and complex on the palate, with silky berries and grained tannin, nice acidity and midpalate, and a delicate finish. Well done for the vintage.

2023 Vintage Tasted: Apr 2024

When to drink: 2030 to 2045

Due to a rigorous selection process, only half of the harvest was used for the Grand Vin. The wine showcased intense aromas of honeydew melon, acacia honey, and orange peel. On the palate, it was sophisticated, complex, and layered, with excellent acidity. The aftertaste was rich and prolonged. Overall, it was a beautiful effort.

2017 Vintage Tasted: Apr 2024

When to drink: 2035 to 2050

A third of the crop was lost to frost in April. However, the resulting wine is impressive, characterized by its freshness, superb acidity, and sweetness. It featured intense flavors of botrytized almonds, pear, peach, and apricot, showcasing splendid complexity, elegance, and finesse. Overall, it was an excellent effort.

When to drink: 2025 to 2035

It was an early harvest that ended on the 7th of October and lasted only 11 days! The wine offered strong flavors of apricot marmalade, brown sugar, heather honey, and candied mandarine peel. Plenty of sweetness was expertly matched by bright acidity. The aftertaste was lingering and very long. Terrific stuff.

100% Tempranillo . The nose is filled with wonderfully aromatic blueberries and blackcurrants, and the palate is fresh and vibrant. The wine has a silky texture and velvety tannins, showcasing amazing structure, depth, and midpalate complexity. It finishes with a long aftertaste, making it a truly meditative experience.

When to drink: 2035 to 2050

Only 40% of normal production (16hl/ha ) went into Grand Vin, and the quality of these grapes was excellent. Sweet pineapple, apricot, mandarine peel, botrytized almonds, and honey melon. Vibrant, refined, and with great acidity on the palate. Long honeyed finish. Superb effort.

When to drink: 2028 to 2045

Spring frost wiped out 50% of the harvest, so the yield per hectare landed at a tiny 4 hectoliters! This wine wasn’t convincing from the barrel, but I have to say it excelled significantly after bottling. It had very intense flavors of botrytized orange peel, citrus, sweet grapefruit, and apricot. It was complex, had splendid acidity, a rich aftertaste, and was simply a terrific effort.

It displays plenty of perfectly ripe black cherries and blueberries. This bold, succulent wine is beautifully balanced and beautifully structured. It features vibrant fruit and crystalline tannins and has a long, savory finish.
