The full, fruit-salad aromas may suggest sweetness to some, but this medium-bodied pinot grigio is bone-dry with quite a crisp, long finish. Drink now. Screw cap.

Riff is a fun and informal Pinot Grigio that shows lively aromas of citrus and passion fruit, backed by cheerful tones of green mango and lime. It's a light, clean and fresh white wine.

The wine opens with the fruity intensity typical of Pinot Grigio, but remains one dimensional and stops short of delivering intricate aromas. The same can be said of the wine's impact in the mouth.

(2005) Lovely stuff, with a whiff of nettle and even petrol, before cream and a gentle clean pear fruit. Soft touch of honey. On the palate this has crisp, well-defined fruit, with a tantalising clarity. Lots of crisp apple and pear and a clean mineral acidity.

(2005) There's a lovely juicy, peachy aspect to this wine on the nose, with pure white fruit of pear and melon pushing through. It is very fresh in the mouth, with a fine grapefruity quality and clean as a whistle acidity.

Cette cuvée «Riff» (récif) doit son nom aux fossiles d’animaux marins qui sont enfouis dans les strates rocheuses sur lesquelles poussent les vignes de Pinot Grigio qui ont produit les raisins nécessaires à la fabrication de ce vin vif et rafraîchissant. En fait, il y a 220 millions d’années, ce vignoble des alpes du nord de l’Italie était submergé par un océan rempli de récifs coralliens. Cette particularité géologique confère à ce vin blanc sec une dimension minérale indéniable. Il révèle au nez des arômes d’agrumes, de pommes, de raisins et de pêches, entrelacés de subtiles notes salines. Belle expression suave en bouche. C’est un vin sans fioriture et digeste qui distingue par sa vivacité et sa pureté tout en ayant cette fraîcheur qui porte la bouche jusque sur la finale lui évitant ainsi toute lourdeur. Servir à 12 °C. Que du plaisir avec les asperges au saumon fumé, la chaudrée de palourdes, le filet de sole poché, les moules, les sardines grillées, les pâtes aux fruits de mer, ou le carré de porc au miel.
